Vacancies

All vacancies for the Department of Education and Training are advertised on the Smart Jobs and Careers website.

Teaching at TAFE

To become a TAFE Teacher you will need as a minimum a current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, licenses and or credentials to teach your chosen field and five years post-trade training industry experience.

To register your interest for all other professional and technical teaching opportunities in TAFE, please visit the Skills Treasury website. Please note that this does not form the basis of a job application but instead notifies your nominated TAFE Institutes of your skills and availability. Should a match occur with a vacancy, a TAFE institute representative will then contact you to confirm your details and make arrangements to progress your register of interest (refer to website for more information).

For existing vacancies, please see the Smart Jobs and Careers website or refer to the contact detail of your local TAFE institute on the TAFE Queensland Website

Graduate Development Program

The Department of Education and Training conducts a Graduate Development Program targeting recent graduates (within the last 2-3 years), from a range of disciplines, to work in roles that support the work of our schools and TAFE institutes. We will not be recruiting for the Graduate Development Program in the 2009-10 financial year. For information on other Queensland Government graduate programs please visit the Queensland Government SmartJobs Graduates page on the Smart jobs and careers website.
