Minister
Stirling Hinchliffe MP, the member for Stafford, is the Minister for Employment, Skills and Mining.
Director-General
Julie Grantham is the Director-General for the Department of Education and Training.
Training Ombudsman
The department works closely with the Training Ombudsman. The position is independent of the department and provides an additional avenue for complaint, investigation and review.
Training and Employment Recognition Council
The Training and Employment Recognition Council is responsible for registration and regulation of training organisations. It works in close association with the Training Ombudsman and the department to continually improve the quality of vocational training in Queensland.
