Occupational demand and supply assessment

This paper provides a supply/demand mapping of both skilled and unskilled labour in Queensland with a view to identifying those occupations where significant mismatch is apparent. In cases where a shortage is evident, the objective has been to determine whether the cause has predominantly a supply-side or demand-side origin.

This assessment is based on calculations of supply of, and demand for, labour of various skill levels in Queensland.
