CSG-LNG industry skills
The Department of Education and Training and Skills Queensland are working with industry and other stakeholders on a number of strategies to train the thousands of workers needed for the new coal seam gas and liquefied natural gas industries.
LNG Industry training program
This program is a partnership between industry and the Queensland Government to train workers for the coal seam gas and liquefied natural gas industries. Jobseekers, existing workers and registered training organisations can register their interest in training online.
Construction needs of the CSG-LNG industry on the Construction Skills Queensland website
It is expected that over 9000 construction workers will be needed to build the pipelines and processing and compression facilities for the CSG-LNG industry. To ensure Queensland has the workforce to keep pace with this skills demand, Construction Skills Queensland has developed a comprehensive CSG/LNG Workforce Plan.
CSG-LNG Skills Taskforce on the Energy Skills Queensland website
This taskforce, made up of representatives from industry and Energy Skills Queensland, is working with the Queensland Government and other stakeholders to prepare for the skills needs of the coal seam gas and liquefied natural gas industries over the next ten years.
