Information for registered training organisations
A range of procurement strategies have been implemented to achieve the Productivity Places Program priorities established by Queensland industry.
These strategies may include:
- industry brokerage arrangements - the department has entered into arrangements with a number of state industry training engagement bodies to broker training under the program, which will include the selection of registered training organisations
- existing worker traineeships - PPP is providing a funding contribution for selected existing worker traineeships in high level qualifications through the User Choice program. For further information please visit the User Choice section.
Due to the over-subscription of training places the following procurement strategies are closed as of 21 February 2011:
- Industry/enterprise selection of registered training organisations
- Direct engagement with enterprises that meet certain eligibility and capability requirements.
In addition to the above strategies, an application process (national tender) for registered training organisations to participate in the Productivity Places Program closed on 25 May 2009. View a list of Preferred providers [PDF 25kB] developed as a result of this application process.
PPP VET services agreement
A PPP VET services agreement will be used if the department contracts a registered training organisation under the program.
The PPP VET services agreement contains the conditions for provision of services to job seekers and/or existing workers in Queensland. The agreement sets out the services to be provided, participant eligibility, training and assessment to be provided, participant outcome requirements, reporting, roles and responsibilities, rules for payment, registration, insurance or variations.
Each registered training organisation must refer to its individual agreement if the department has allocated funding under PPP.
