Recognition of work or training (trade recognition)
Recognition of work or training (trade recognition) allows people to gain a certificate of recognition in Queensland in an apprenticeship trade, where:

a formal apprenticeship has not been completed

an apprenticeship or trade training has been completed overseas.
Criteria for trade recognition
Answer a series of questions to determine if you are eligible for trade recognition.
Trade licensing
If your trade is not one of those recognised by the Queensland Department of Education and Training it may be a licensed trade. These are managed by independent licensing bodies.
