SmartJOBinfo
SmartJOBinfo was created to help people make more informed employment and training decisions. It achieves this by providing a series of reports containing job descriptions, training requirements, compositional data (such as male/female and full-time/part-time breakdown), historical and future trends, and regional statistics on over 300 occupations.
SmartJOBinfo is a stand alone, Microsoft Excel based application that you can download and save to, and subsequently use from, your local system. Updates to the application, containing the latest available data, will be posted on this site once or twice a year. To remain current you need only download the the file when an update becomes available, which is usually once or twice a year.
The size of the file (14MB) means that downloading the application will take a substantial amount of time if you do not have a broadband internet connection. The file could take up to an hour to download using a standard telephone line. As stated above, this procedure will only be necessary when an update becomes available.
