National VET Sector Sustainability Policy and Action Plan (2009-2012)

The National VET Sector Sustainability Policy and Action Plan (2009-2012) [PDF 327kB] outlines a number of actions to equip learners, industry, training organisations and other VET sector stakeholders with the skills and knowledge to support the drive towards an environmentally sustainable future.

This policy and action plan is part of the Australian Government's agenda to introduce climate change mitigation and adaptation polices which will increase the demand for new sustainability skills as well as the reorientation of existing skills.

This policy and action plan has been develop by the National VET Sector Sustainability Action Group on behalf of the Ministerial Council for Vocational and Technical Education.

Queensland is represented on this action group by the Department of Education and Training.
