Program overview

Blending classroom learning with online modules this program includes hands-on activities, group and individual learning, and leads to a Certificate IV in Frontline Management.

Three-day face-to-face delivery (on campus or residential):

BSBCMN201A: Communicate in the workplace
BSBWOR403A: Manage stress in the workplace
BSBWOR401A: Establish effective workplace relations
BSBMGT401A: Show leadership in the workplace
BSBCRT301A: Extend critical and creative thinking skills

Assessment: Practical activities cover all of the above elements, plus there is a workplace project that can be implemented upon return to work. An observation checklist is to be completed during the workshop and critical aspects of all units are incorporated into a checklist that provides a final check on competence.

Half-day workshops cover:

Workshop 1

BSBWOR402A: Promote team effectiveness and conflict management

Workshop 2

BSBCMN401A: Make a presentation
BSBREL401A: Establish networks

Assessment: Workshops are assessed in the same way as the face-to-face delivery - observation of participation in activities plus a workplace project and third party report. Upon completion of these face-to-face workshops, participants will study the final four units online.

Online study will cover:

BSBADM307B: Establishing and managing schedules
BSBMGT402A: Implementing and monitoring operational plans
BSBFIA402A: Finance
BSBMKG414A: Planning, implementing, managing and reviewing marketing activities

Assessment: Online subjects are assessed via online activities, questions and a workplace project. A tutorial is established once every two weeks, to keep learners focused and motivated.
