Audits

An audit is a planned, systematic, evidentiary and documented process. In the context of registered training organisations (RTOs), an audit is conducted to assess an applicant's or RTO's compliance with the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) or contract requirements. The Queensland Department of Education and Training undertakes audit activity on behalf of the Training and Employment Recognition Council (TERC), as the Queensland registering body.

An audit may involve a desk review of documentary evidence or a visit by auditors from the department (sometimes assisted by a technical adviser) who examines systems, policies, processes, practices and documentation.
