Application fees

An organisation wishing to lodge an application for registration is required to pay the prescribed application fee. Application fees are levied by the Vocational Education, Training and Employment Regulation (2000) in order to maintain the system that monitors and encourages continuous improvement in the delivery of quality vocational education and training.

Schedule of registration application fees [PDF 147KB] applies to all applications including:

Annual registration fee

Fees are subject to annual review in line with the Consumer Price Index and are adjusted at the commencement of each financial year. Each year registered training organisations are required to pay an annual registration fee.

The fee is charged at the commencement of the financial year and is calculated based upon the size of an organisation's scope of registration. Download the Annual registration fees for registered training organisations [PDF 65KB].

To pay your annual registration online go to www.training.qld.gov.au/rtoannualfees.

Audit fees

Standard monitoring compliance audits do not attract a fee.  However certain compliance audits, such as a compliance audit following complaint where the complaint is substantiated, will attract a fee of $134.45 per hour or part of the hour plus reasonable travel costs and other expenses.

A full schedule of audit fees is contained in the Vocational Education, Training and Employment Regulation 2007 [PDF 512KB] on the Legislation website.
