User Choice 2010 - 2015 Pre-qualified Suppliers

Pre-qualified Suppliers are Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) who are approved to deliver publicly-funded training and assessment services to apprentices and trainees.

Pre-qualified Supplier (PQS) status is granted for successful applicants for the duration of the period specified in the Department's letter of authority, unless otherwise advised by the Department.

In order to apply for PQS status, RTOs must obtain a Purchasing Online (POL) Account to access the Department's POL system.

RTOs must also hold current registration or mutual recognition in Queensland, at the time of application, for the qualifications they would like to nominate for delivery.

Notices for applicants and approved Pre-qualified Suppliers

1 May 2012 - Sport and recreation

Applications from Registered Training Organisations seeking to deliver sport and recreation qualifications as a Pre-Qualified Supplier under the 2010-2015 User Choice program are currently closed, pending review.  An update on the status of sport and recreation applications under User Choice will be provided on this website, once the review has been finalised.  This closure also applies to existing Pre-Qualified Suppliers who want to add sport and recreation qualifications to their Delivery Schedule; however it does not apply to new qualifications which supersede already approved qualifications on a Pre-Qualified Supplier's Delivery Schedule.

13 June 2012 - Children's services

Approved Pre-qualified Suppliers may exempt participants from paying the Student Contribution Fee for CHC50908 - Diploma in Children's Services (Early Childhood Education and Care), in accordance with the User Choice 2010 - 2015 Policy. This fee exemption applies only to new enrolments on or after 1 November 2011 and cannot be applied retrospectively.

What is POL?

POL is the Department's web-enabled system for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) to view certain transactions and apply to deliver publicly-funded training in Queensland. This includes programs such as User Choice and other Strategic Initiatives published by the Department.

What is a POL Account?

Users of the system must apply for a POL Account in order to access the system. Authorised POL Account holders receive a unique username and password which enables them to access the POL System.

The username and password is used by the applicant each time they access the POL system.

In order to apply for a POL Account, you will need to provide mandatory information which will be verified by the Department before a username and password is issued.

In addition, the applicant's RTO must provide authorisation for the Department to create a POL account for the applicant.
