WorldSkills Australia

WorldSkills Australia aims to develop, promote and nurture the skills of Australia's youth, through a program of competitions aligned to national training packages. Since 1981, WorldSkills Australia has built a skills culture by inspiring young people to celebrate and showcase their trade and skill talent.

WorldSkills Australia competitions operate on a two-year cycle with a national competition following the year after regional competitions. If eligible, national competition winners can become members of Team Australia (Skillaroos) and proceed to the WorldSkills International Competition.

WorldSkills Queensland is the state office of WorldSkills Australia. Based in Brisbane, the office manages six WorldSkills regions in Queensland:

  • Brisbane
  • Central Queensland
  • Gold Coast
  • North Queensland
  • Southern Queensland
  • Wide Bay.
