Advancing skills for the future: a strategy for vocational education and training in Queensland

The consultation draft of Advancing skills for the future: a strategy for vocational education and training in Queensland sets out the Queensland Government's vision for VET to ensure that in a changing world, all Queenslanders are able to access - at any stage in their lifetime and career - high quality training that improves their life prospects and supports industry development and economic growth.

To achieve this vision, the consultation draft of Advancing skills for the future focuses on three priority areas for action:

  • industry and innovation
  • a quality system
  • access and participation.

The consultation draft of Advancing Skills recognises that Queensland's VET system needs to provide students with the skills of the future and support existing workers to reskill, so they can participate in a changing workforce.
