Recognition as a principal employer organisation
Under Section 92 of the
Further Education and Training Act 2014 (PDF, 1.2MB) a corporation can apply in the
approved form to the Department of Education and Training to be recognised as a principal employer organisation (PEO) in Queensland.
The application must be accompanied by a report from an approved auditor that assesses the applicant's compliance with the
Queensland Quality Standards for principal employer organisations.
Applications are evaluated by the department to determine whether or not to recognise the corporation as a PEO.
The department will take approximately four weeks to process an application. This timeframe may vary depending on the nature and completeness of the application.
Entities should seek departmental advice prior to making application for recognition as a PEO to discuss their proposal.
