Trade Skills Assessment and Gap Training Program
The Trade Skills Assessment and Gap Training Program aims to assess the skills of experienced individuals who can demonstrate substantial competency in a priority trade qualification and provide gap training of no more than 40 per cent of the funded competencies to complete the trade qualification.

2017-18 funding information
Who can apply for funding?
Department of Education and Training (DET) approved User Choice pre-qualified suppliers (1) with an eligible scope of registration and (2) links to employers willing to upskill employees or employ graduates on completion of the program, are eligible to apply.
What is funded?
The program supports eligible participants to access a subsidised training place under the
Annual VET Investment Plan.
Funding is available for trade skills assessments (recognition of prior learning) and the subsequent gap training to enable eligible participants to complete a priority trade qualification.
How are applications assessed?
