From 29 June 2014, Queensland's legislative power to recognise and regulate vocational placement schemes expires. As some accredited courses and training package qualifications require students to undertake a vocational placement, registered training organisations (RTOs) will still need to address vocational placement issues as part of their RTO compliance with the Standards for NVR Registered Training Organisations.
The Department of Education and Training has developed
A guide to vocational placement for Queensland registered training organisations (RTOS) (PDF, 103KB) to inform RTO activity during the transition.
The department will no longer be involved in matters relating to vocational placement from the above date.
